SiteMapper Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. All sitemap generation, validation, and analysis happens entirely in your web browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your sitemap data to any server.

Data Collection

What We Don't Collect

• Sitemap Content: Your XML sitemaps, URLs, and all sitemap data remain in your browser only
• Personal Information: No registration, login, or personal data required
• File Uploads: All file processing happens client-side in your browser
• User Content: No URLs, priorities, or frequencies are sent to our servers

What We Collect

Web Analytics Only: We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand general website traffic patterns (page views, referrers, device types). This analytics service does NOT collect personal information, does NOT track you across websites, and does NOT use cookies. Your sitemap data and file content are NEVER sent to any analytics service.

Local Storage

SiteMapper Pro uses your browser's local storage mechanisms to improve your experience:

• IndexedDB: Used to store your sitemap history locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings
• LocalStorage: Used to remember your preferences (like dark mode) and temporary state
• Your Control: You can clear all local data at any time using your browser's clear browsing data feature

Third-Party Services

We use minimal third-party services focused on privacy:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Privacy-first analytics to understand general traffic patterns (page views, referrers, device types). Does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across websites. Your sitemap data is never sent to analytics.
• No Invasive Tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any cross-site tracking tools
• No Marketing Cookies: We do not set any advertising or marketing cookies
• Privacy First: Your sitemap content and URLs remain completely private in your browser

Data Processing

All data processing happens in your browser:

• XML Parsing: Performed client-side using JavaScript libraries
• Validation: All sitemap validation happens in your browser
• File Generation: Sitemap files are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device
• No Server Processing: Your sitemap data never touches our servers

Share Feature

When you use the "Share Configuration" feature:

• URL Encoding: Your sitemap configuration is encoded in the URL query parameters
• No Server Storage: The encoded data is not stored on our servers
• Sharing Control: You control who you share the URL with
• Sensitive Data Warning: Do not share URLs containing sensitive information

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing for us to delete, export, or modify. You have complete control over your data through your browser:

• Clear History: Delete your sitemap history from the tool's interface or browser settings
• Disable Storage: Configure your browser to block local storage if desired
• No Account: No account to delete since no registration is required

Security

We take security seriously:

• HTTPS Only: All connections to SiteMapper Pro are encrypted
• Client-Side Processing: Reduces risk of data interception
• No Database: No server database means no database breaches
• Open Source: Code transparency allows security auditing

Children's Privacy

SiteMapper Pro does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect personal data, there are no special considerations for children's data.

Changes to Privacy Policy
